Games Workshop’s Khazalite Holds infantry are heading to individual pre-order on November 7, 2026. For anyone who prefers small fantasy warbands over enormous centerpiece models, the new Clanshields and Clangunners offer something more immediately useful: armored dwarf foot soldiers with distinct weapons and plenty of personality.
What’s New for the Khazalite Holds?
The Clanshields are the dependable front-line warriors of the new duardin faction. Games Workshop describes the plastic kit as highly customizable, with stout shields, axes and hammers. The figures have layered armor, elaborate helmets and a practical, battle-ready look that suits a hard-traveling adventuring company.
The Clangunners bring blackpowder firepower to the same range. They can carry either Thrundok rifles or heavier Thrundrin shotcannons. Games Workshop also highlights options for a champion, standard bearer and drummer, plus two head choices for regular troops. Both sets are part of the wider Khazalite Holds release wave, which also includes individual leaders and larger models.
Games Workshop previewed the range on November 1. Retailer listings indicate November 7 pre-orders and a November 21 release, although regional availability and pricing may vary. A confirmed US price for the individual infantry kits was not available at the time of writing.
Build an Aetherwar Dwarf Gang
The Clanshields are an easy starting point for an Aetherwar dwarf expedition: a shield-bearing leader, several veteran fighters and a few companions with different weapons. Their matching armor ties the group together, while varied heads and equipment help distinguish individuals.
For a different theme, the Clangunners could represent a blackpowder-equipped mining patrol or fortress guard. Mixing a handful of models from both kits would give a small Gangfight gang a memorable combination of melee fighters and ranged specialists. These are modeling ideas rather than new official character profiles.
Painting and Conversion Possibilities
The studio's green shields and pale metal armor are striking, but the sculpts should also suit deep red, worn bronze or soot-black schemes. Try chipped shield edges, dusty boots and darkened weapon barrels for a force that looks as though it has spent years defending underground passages.
Changing shield colors or swapping heads can give individual characters their own identity without sacrificing the cohesive dwarf aesthetic.
Worth Adding to Your Miniature Collection?
For Gangfight players looking for fantasy foot troops, these are among the more appealing parts of the Khazalite release. The Clanshields bring classic armored dwarf character, while the Clangunners offer a different visual direction. If you have been waiting for new dwarf miniatures to anchor an Aetherwar gang, this release deserves a look.
